> _"Studies have shown that hospital visitors also carry dangerous pathogens on their hands. The results demonstrate that hospital visitors are a relative but largely neglected factor in the transmission of pathogens. Of these visitors, only 1% disinfect their hands."_

The Commission for Hospital Hygiene and Infection Prevention ([KRINKO](https://www.rki.de/DE/Content/Kommissionen/KRINKO/krinko_node.html)) recommends including visitors in hand hygiene measures. Visitors should disinfect their hands at least before and after visiting a patient.
Traditionally, NosoEx records the disinfection behavior of clinical staff broken down by professional groups (e.g., physicians, nursing staff, therapists). Based on this scientific evidence and the pandemic situation, where visits to healthcare facilities should be particularly controlled, it is recommended to equip visitors with a NosoEx transponder as well.
In addition to data collection, it is also important to actively remind visitors about hand disinfection.
> _"The placement of signs has a positive effect on hand disinfection compliance among visitors. Authoritative signs increased dispenser usage by 7.7%. Signs that appeal to the social level of humans achieved a usage increase of 6.9%."_

Our dispenser columns can be individually designed. This allows reminder signs and disinfectant dispensers to be prominently displayed. To raise awareness, it is recommended to place such a column in the entrance area of a healthcare facility.
