Ward Feedback Display: Generating Smiles with Better Hygiene

This form of feedback can be displayed to staff on a prominently placed monitor on the ward. The WHO recommends a dispensing volume of 3 ml per hand disinfection to adequately cover all skin areas of the hand. The average dispensing volume per disinfection is recorded by NosoEx. The smiley's mood varies depending on whether sufficient disinfectant was dispensed or not. The thresholds are configurable. Alternatively, a required number of hand disinfections (HD) per (patient) day can be defined.  _All in the green zone. 90% of yesterday's hand disinfections were performed with at least 3 ml._ The feedback display shows different states: - **Green Smiley**: Everything is in the green zone - **Yellow Smiley**: Room for improvement - **Red Smiley**: A sad state of affairs - only half of disinfections were performed with 3 ml
