When a person approaches the patient bed, hand disinfection is usually required beforehand. Otherwise, there is a risk that the patient or the patient environment (e.g., cabinet, blanket) will be contaminated.
This NosoEx advancement combines the detection of entries and exits into the patient zone as well as pre- and post-hand disinfections.
Additionally, it can be captured whether the bed is occupied or unoccupied. This enables management of bed capacities.
